Premiere: Beyond Evil, Vincenzo, Times
So many premieres happened between yesterday and today that I decided to lump them all together in one post. Hoping that some of these turn out to be interesting enough that I want to keep up with them.
+ Beyond Evil
Yesterday my most anticipated drama of this crazy month, Beyond Evil, premiered on jTBC. It stars Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo, who are in pursuit of a serial killer. It sounds like it's going to focus on not only the depths it takes to find a serial killer through evidence but also the lengths to go to find the killer. Basically hits all the Jessie boxes. I wanted to wait till today to be able to watch both episodes at once, so maybe look forward to a post about my first impressions in a couple of days.
Beyond Evil will air on Fridays and Saturdays and On Demand Korea has subs. The rest of the cast can be found here.
+ Vincenzo
I’m not going to lie to you, I’m not super interested in the premise of the drama. Mafia is really not my thing, and add comedy it’s probably a drop waiting to happen. I will, however, give it chance…mostly for Taecyeon because I’m weak. Who knows, I might end up being into it once I give it a chance, and that’s really all I can do. The good news is that it’s on Netflix, so no waiting for subs.
Check out the rest of the (actually really awesome) cast here.
+ Times
Times is another semi-iffy drama that I’m interested in but holding my breath for. Time travel. Mysterious phone calls. Dangerous truth. But it also centers around politicians, and that’s not really something I’m ever interested in (I’m picky about some things, ok. I know what I like and what I don’t). This is a 12 episode drama, and I’m finding that I solidly really like that length which might help the story. Also: OCN. One of the other things that drew me into the drama is that it stars Lee Joo Young, who I really like and am interested to see her in this role.
It airs Saturdays and Sundays and subbed on Viki.
