Top YouTube Channels
I’ve officially had to cancel to flights, which means that three concerts that I was going to be going to will probably not happen for me, as chances are their new dates will not be good for me, so this weeks has hit me a lot harder than it has been and I have really not been wanting to do anything. I’m not watching any dramas, I’ve barely been reading, haven’t been posting and I’ve just been generally in a not so fun state.
But we’re here, and back with things to pass the time and get out of this funk and YouTube is one of those things. This week I’m recommending some of my favorite YouTube channels to watch. I’ve divided up the list into the two groups of YouTube channels: kpop centered and misc.
I’ve been subscribed to Books and Lala for a really long time, and it’s mostly because we do share the same opinions on books and in general skew to the same type of book, but her videos are also just really good and unique.
I’ve always really liked all of Francina’s videos. She has a variety of content, ranging from talking about books to discussing issues in specifically the book world and is always extremely well articulated. She also is a writer herself, and it does add to her thoughts about books because she actually knows what is going on. Side note, go order her newest book if you can.
I mean obviously I’m going to like a booktuber that drinks wine and talks about books, but I do love her videos outside of just that. She focuses on urban fantasy and romance.
If you read more high fantasy series or manga, I really think you’ll like Elliot’s videos. She and her husband also read outside of those genres, but she does some really good (and fair) summaries and reviews about the books she reads.
If you’ve never actually watched any of the Vlogbrother’s content, now is the time. John and Hank started the channel back in 2007 a way to keep in touch with each other, and it’s snowballed into an amazing channel that has created things like Project for Awesome and Vidcon. I’ve been watching them from the beginning, and they will always be one of my top channels.
I feel like I’m always talking about them, but it’s really only on Twitter. Bon Appetit has done social media really well, and the magazine has basically let the recipe creators make their own video series. They are fun, informative, and showcase everyone’s personality. You can tell they like making the videos, they aren’t just pigeon-held into doing them.
If you are looking for another cooking based YouTube, Future Neighbor is one of my faves. They base all their recipes to help teach you Korean dishes. I know there are other more well-known people showing how to cook Korean, but their videos are a lot of fun and simple.
I found Cari a while ago, she lives in Korea and she’s good at doing those really pretty asthetic-type videos but not in that overly produced unnatural way. Her videos are really nice.
I’m biased because I know Emily but honestly I love her videos. She’s been doing compilations of stages, and they are really good. Also she does a lot of tutorial videos and unboxings. Go subscribe!
Ok, real talk. I will watch any ane all DAY6 content (and have), but Wonpilates compilation videos are just so funny.
N.Flying as a group creates great content, but when you put Cha Hun and Jaehyun together is just produces something magical. Chaotically magical.
Savy Guitar is my favorite of N.Flying content, and if you are a fan (or not even a fan but want to laugh) their compilations are the best.
